The Enterprise Identity and Access Management team is seeking a Cryptography and Secrets Management Director to support the strategic planning, engineering, build, automation, and steady state operational support of Cryptologic Engineering functions for United Health Group in order to ensure secure credentials of people logging into our systems appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Lead crypto platform and program strategy for the enterprise
  • Lead large scale programs to integrate the Crypto and Secrets Management systems across the enterprise components: cloud, desktop, distributed, VMs, etc.
  • Oversee and drive product and project engineering, operations, PLM and delivery against compliance and business program targets
  • Engage with senior business leaders across the enterprise to define service levels and systems capacity requirements for critical business applications in order to optimize capabilities for both customers and operational support team
  • Manage a critical team of senior crypto and secrets management security staff and keep them challenged, supported and well trained
  • Drive segment and UHG wide project activities for Crypto such as the building out the certificate life cycle management, key management, secrets management and PKI capabilities across cloud service providers
  • Identify areas of business risk and process improvements relative to crypto and drive a scaled solution
  • Proactively communicate high-priority incident escalations, incident/change summaries, and focused service reviews that could impact delays in deployment iterations on an enterprise scale
  • Demonstrate understanding of the internal organizational structure, and how work gets done within business and IT organizations
  • Identify and engage the appropriate IT stakeholders from all applicable areas
  • Advise enterprise architecture teams on ways to improve key, certificate, and secrets security by leveraging Crypto products
  • Ensure corporate wide infrastructure components integrate with the Crypto suite of products
  • Infrastructure operations
  • Build and maintain Crypto metrics for enterprise activity utilization
  • Monitor / manage vendor performance to ensure solution and deliverables meets compliance and security needs
  • Monitor service delivery, proactively identify risks and remediate them as required
  • Ensure alignment of projects
  • Design automation utilities that are in alignment with enterprise security and best practices deliverables with key business metrics

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of professional IT experience
  • 3 or more years of technical operations experience on encryption, PKI and/or certificate management technologies
  • 3 or more years' experience in a managerial, technical, or program leadership role for large IT integration projects or programs.
  • Prior experience technically leading distributed teams
  • Strategic, tactical and systems leader with proven self-starter and independent leadership ability
  • Proven delivery record in IT security

Assets

  • Understanding of change management best business practices
  • Experience with Agile
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience delivering presentations to senior level executives
  • Operating system expertise either in Windows or UNIX
  • Broad IAM management, technical and security background preferred in capabilities including MFA, Active Directory, AzureAD, etc.
  • Devops experience in continuous delivery, continuous integration, and technologies such as Chef, Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $110,200 to $211,700.
