Jennie-O Turkey Store - Mechanic-1st Shift - Montevideo, MN

Job Responsibilities:

* Perform general maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, welding, repairs, and mechanical & minor electrical troubleshooting
* Perform other duties assigned by supervisors
* Assist other team members in completing maintenance tasks and schedules
* Participate as member of Emergency Response team

Minimum Qualifications:

* Good mechanical aptitude
* Excellent attendance
* Ability to lift 50 lbs
* Work well in a team setting and individually
* Possess good working knowledge of hand and power tools
* Practice good housekeeping and good manufacturing practices as outlined by company policies
* Ability to perform equipment and building maintenance with minimal direction
* Ability to perform basic machine maintenance
* Ability to read/write/communicate in English
* Work in cold, wet, humid, hot, and dusty environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Welding experience and/or certification
* Electrical experience and/or certification
* Hydraulic/pneumatic experience and/or certification
* Proven mechanical/electrical troubleshooting experience
