Overview:
This role serves as a liaison between the IT team and the Revenue Cycle Operational teams. The analyst is responsible for understanding the business requirements and working with IT to implement workflow that is efficient and concise. This role will research and partner with IT as well as test new functionality to support operation teams via process improvement or quarterly updates. The analyst is responsible for effective communication on changes and information needed for a smooth roll-out or update on end user productivity and performance.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
Job Expectations:Lead new work planning sessions creating the agenda, capture requirements and providing documentation of the project. Project updates provided in a timely manner outlining status.Create IT tickets for work needed with requirements outlining the work needed to be complete. Providing updates to the operational owners on status and next steps. Test new functionality to ensure that it meets the operational requirements. Ensure that automation in past builds is included in new build. Assist operations in creating self-service reporting. Reports should be utilized to monitor employee productivity and effectively manage the business. Assist in the creation of scorecards and dashboards when multiple components are needed to be monitored. Provide guidance on additional metrics to include.Analyze new business requests to understand requirements for IT needs. Provide guidance and recommendations on additional items to include.Identify improvement opportunities and partner with Operations to implement. Improvement opportunities items including but not limited to system automation, denial/write-off reduction and process simplification. Research best practices in partnership with IT and Operational partners to identify process improvement recommendations and options to explore automation and improved efficiency.Understand the business of healthcare and changes in regulatory and payer guidelines. Provide updates to Revenue Cycle documentation reflecting changes and ensuring that IT tickets are created for work that requires technical changes.Monitor Revenue Cycle systems to ensure that claims are jobs are running as expected. Assess and troubleshoot to determine if a ticket needs to be created. If so, create IT ticket and monitor and communicate status.Organization Expectations: Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.Communicates in a respective manner.Ensures a safe, secure environment.Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.Fulfills all organizational requirementsCompletes all required learning relevant to the roleComplies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards.Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
RequiredExperience3-5 years of healthcare experience with knowledge of hospital outpatient coding and medical billing. Knowledge of health care contracting, reimbursement, and revenue cyclePreferredEducationBS/BA in Healthcare or related fieldExperience5+ years of healthcare experienceLicense/Certification/RegistrationEpic Certification in Revenue Cycle disciplines. Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a period of time):Microsoft Excel advanced skills including v-look-up, pivot tablesStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to analyze data and present in a succinct mannerDetail oriented and ability to spot trends
