Full Time, Non-Exempt, Hours: Monday – Friday

This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks for the Member & Provider Services and Business IT & Claims Administration departments, including providing support to managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs, and managing general administrative activities.

The Member & Provider Services Specialist should be proactive in assisting staff with various travel and meeting/conference room needs; preparing reports; maintaining appropriate electronic filing systems; writing and sending email messages; managing the receipt and distribution of letters, checks, faxes, and forms; and completing other tasks as assigned based on the organization’s needs. This position must prioritize projects to ensure completion as required while managing core duties in an efficient and cost-effective way. This position should be able to apply appropriate customer service skills when dealing with all customers, follow all regulatory requirements, maintain an up-to-date and thorough knowledge of PrimeWest Health’s policies and guidelines, and properly document all calls/contacts as required by department standards in a clear and concise manner. The Member & Provider Services Specialist must be comfortable with flexibility and highly skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and time management.

Educational Requirements and Required Qualifications
* At minimum, an associate degree or diploma in administrative assistance, or two years of experience equivalent to the position requirements.
* Demonstrated knowledge of, and proficiency in, Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as accurate data entry skills required. Experience in Visio and Jira is a plus.
* Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with a variety of people both within and outside of the organization. Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn and improve the office support function.
* Ability to sit at a desk or computer station most of the time. Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry such articles as file folders and small boxes up to 20 pounds.
