The Technology Major Problem Management (TMPM) team is responsible to facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) to identify contributing factors that led to or caused significant/major EACO incident and/or event(s). The team tracks against Preventative Actions to minimize or eliminate future risks to the production environment. RCA reports document findings and recommendations identified through the process. In addition, this group conducts Chronic and Proactive RCA investigations for recurring issues, intended to aid in the stabilization of the environment. The trend analysis function highlights potential problem areas and is intended to provide a longer term view of the stability of a particular environment.

This role serves as a senior team member on the EMIPM team to mitigate risk in production environments by identifying root cause of incidents and/or events and working thorough investigation practices and analysis on minor to critical on Major EACO Incident's.

This position has an advanced understanding of the Major Problem and Incident Management practices and tools in conjunction with other capabilities including clear and concise writing ability. They maintain an advanced technology and business knowledgebase of ITIL, Agile, and ModOps practices.

A successful candidate will possess adaptability required to work in a fast paced environment and will be expected to develop and maintain effective partnerships within and across businesses to foster an environment that results in highly energized and engaged relationships.

  • Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to include peers, partners, managers, and clients/customers
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and very strong interpersonal skills
  • Works with and manages communications with cross functional teams to identify solutions, root cause, and best practice in accordance with problem management strategy and policy.
  • Communicate and track the status of problem resolution efforts with all levels of the organization, from highly technical to key business leaders
  • Knowledge of conducting EACO Root Cause Analysis with multiple stakeholders on all severity incidents to assist in driving towards identifying Root Cause, the associated Preventative Actions, and the creation and publishing of detailed Root Cause Analysis Reports
  • Provide team member Problem, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Preventative Actions (PAs) training
  • Partner with teams in identifying solutions to risk mitigation [RWF]
  • Ensure adherence to standardized processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Proactively identify service issues or risks that could negatively affect production
  • Create recommendations to eliminate the risk of reoccurrence and improve service quality
  • Maintain an awareness of operational issues and how customers are impacted
  • Maintain strong relationships with business and technology partners
  • Create a two-way communication path between business partners and EACO peers. May meet with CIO or Managers, as needed
  • Keep leadership and team informed of any major issues that impact the environment and could affect system availability
  • Conduct quality reviews of Preventative Actions RWF


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of systems support analysis experience demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in managed services as demonstrated through work, military, or education
  • 5+ years of operating systems analysis experience, operating systems engineering experience, or a combination of both
  • 3+ years experience working with external or internal Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  • 4+ years of PAC2000 experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical leadership including large, visible, cross group projects across multiple technologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of incident handling or management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • IT Infrastructure Library Certification (ITIL)
  • Leadership experience including; coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Experience facilitating meetings with participants at various levels of experience in different lines of business
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



Other Desired Qualifications
  • This will be a day shift of 8AM to 5PM in the candidate's time zone.


Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

AZ-Tempe: Min: $79,500 Mid: $112,000 Max: $144,500
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $79,500 Mid: $112,000 Max: $144,500
