The Electrical Engineering Manager (EEM) is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the electrical & controls engineering department to achieve the growth, quality, and financial objectives of the company. The EEM will provide support for sales, drafting and other engineering and manufacturing departments while assuring product and design integrity.

The position will initiate continuous improvement in processes and procedures, assign projects, and provide overall direction and support to all department staff. The EEM will establish standards of performance, measure results, analyze workflow, resolve problems, and actively participate in strategic and budget planning activities.

EEM department uses AutoCAD Electrical Platform and a custom electrical design configurator program. Allen-Bradley and Siemens

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build Trust with your team and provide technical leadership, mentoring, and development to all members and execute the annual business plans and manage to the plans and budget.

Identify success and gaps and build upon them.

Coordinate all design activities of the electrical & controls team, interface with key cross-functional groups such as other engineering, purchasing, quality assurance, manufacturing, and sales.

Serve as the technical leader and project manager for significant development projects. Oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.

Develop and maintain product standards, training systems, processes and best practices and then ensure consistency between product lines

Implement and/or maintain a product data management system that integrates with our ERP system compliant to ISO 9001

Support continuous improvements and new product development

Review operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning

Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project

Direct the review of production costs and product quality, and modify production to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division

Evaluate product non-conformance and recommend design modifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of overall experience in relevant Engineering discipline

7+ years leadership experience; specifically cross-functional, collaborative leadership experience

Proficiency in Electrical & Controls systems; Allen-Bradley for sure and Siemens desired.

Ability to develop strategic plans for core engineering organization and achieve results aligned with business objectives

Ability to measure and quantify data associated with engineering activities and systems in support of business strategy and departmental efficiencies.

Ability to mentor and develop individuals and the team
