Job Responsibilities:
Are you Ready? We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist! The ideal candidate must have an Associate degree in accounting or other business-related field or 2 years of accounting experience. You would be responsible for the financial processing of Accounts Payable transactions for the agency within the organization's established policies. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and proficient skills in working with Excel spreadsheets required. Must possess the ability to multi-task and be a fast learner as you will be responsible for all aspects of the Accounts Payable process. Which includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Ensure accuracy of invoices
  • Maintain and administers the document management system
  • Analyze and suggests improvement in all Accounts Payable workflow processes
  • Submit all invoices for coding and approval.
  • Perform all data entry associated with Accounts Payable function.
  • Ensure all invoices are paid accurately and timely
  • Assist with month-end expense accrual process.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Vendor management in Accounts Payable module of general ledger system.
  • Distribution of annual 1099 forms.
  • Routine reconciliation of various balance sheets
  • Creation and preparation of reports routinely and upon request.
  • Assistance with additional projects as part of the Accounting Team

    Work is performed while sitting for extended periods of time with the ability to move about at will.

    Physical Demands:

    Must have the use of sensory skills and ability to effectively communicate and interact with others through the use of the telephone, computer (e-mail) and in person. Must possess hand and finger dexterity for data entry through the use of a computer keyboard.
