YOUR ROLE

· Help create templates of process instructions and input into batch sheets

· Implement changes into 10L Operations Lab batch instructions in an organized and timely fashion

· Initiate the approval process (MOC) and route documents for approval

· Keep a log of all operations lab work and be able to articulate results

· Ability to find and gather all raw materials needed for the batch, communicate to purchasing and PD chemists to procure additional (and new) raw materials

· Communicate and work with cross functional teams outside of the Salisbury plant (PD, TCS, Purchasing, Quality, Sales) without supervision

· May include off shift hours and weekend work at times

· Maintain 5S locations for items within Operations Lab

· Maintain a detailed lab notebook for documentation and keep record of all batches

· Run lab-scale 10L batches and strips, lab blends, and other lab-scale production tasks for production, PD, and batch investigation purposes

· Keep active inventory of items for the 10L lab, making purchases as necessary to replenish items as needed

· Work as Chemical Operator when assigned and perform other duties as assigned

YOUR SKILLS

· Candidate must be a minimum of Chemical Operator Lvl 2, PSA as outlined in the training program for the Solution Acrylic Operations Matrix and have obtained the chemistry / technical knowledge as such (Ref. Doc. HR Salisbury 1.6-01).

· Have excellent organizational skills, ability to pay attention to detail, flexibility, and excellent attendance

· Proficient in the use Microsoft Excel, Word, and computer-based tasks such as SAP knowledge, MRP, BOMs (beyond label making).

· Have excellent interpersonal skills in general as they will be communicating with the Plant team, BWTR team (chemists), outside vendors (raws/lab equipment/beakers)

· Ability to work as a team member as well as be independent and self-sufficient with minimal supervision.

· Respond quickly and positively to changing priorities and ability to complete multi-task assignments on time.

· A portion of the time will be in the plant working as a Chemical Operator
