A Mechanical Designer to design custom vertical conveyor equipment, prepare Bills of Material, and create isometric illustrations for various engineering and sales uses, using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Required:
Associates of Applied Science Degree, Mechanical Design Technology.
Proficiency with designing 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD and Inventor software (Solidworks is acceptable), as well as proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic algebraic equations and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Working knowledge of concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
Must speak, understand, read, and write English proficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Solid understanding of mechanical drawings and proper drafting methods.
Preferred:
Knowledge of steel fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics and power transmission.

Pay Range: $20-$28/hr
