The University of Jamestown seeks a full-time Web Developer.

Position is in charge of publishing content, maintaining continuity of themes, designing layout, streamlining navigation, and increasing online presence to potential customers while ensuring the University website is accurate and up-to-date. Knowledge of search engine analytics is required. Knowledge of and/or experience in the workings of a communications office (media relations, special events planning and publicity, publications development, social media, web/multimedia content development, and marketing/advertising) preferred.

This position will manage the University's public-facing WordPress website (https://www.uj.edu), database, and LAMP server.

Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring general server resources (CPU, bandwidth, disk space, RAM) to ensure that the website continues to function well.
* Managing web content that is provided (forms, PDFs, images, and other types of content).
* Managing webserver software and updates (WordPress, SSL Certificates, and other general software updates).
* Support other UJ employees with their website-related needs.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Requirements:
* Bachelor degree or comparable experience
* Excellent problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently, with other users and meet deadlines
* Understanding of basic programming concepts (objects, arrays, loops, etc)
* Moderate to high-level confidence with PHP, HTML, and CSS
* Ability to work with a LAMP server through SSH
* Ability to work with an FTP server.

2. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
3. Experience with Apache configuration
4. Experience with databases (SQL)
5. Moderate to high-level confidence with JavaScript
6. Ability to do basic BASH scripting.
7. Excellent planning and organizational skills
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills
