POSITION OVERVIEWThe Accounts Payable position processes payments to vendors for invoices, monthly bills, client needs i.e. deposits, utilities and application fees as requested. This candidate will also assist with processing the biweekly payroll.PRIMARY DUTIESProcess payments to vendors ensuring all checks are properly documented and approved in accordance with established internal control procedures.Communicate with vendor regarding invoice discrepanciesMatch invoices with checks and prepare for mailing. File paid invoices.Verify required W-9 information is on file and up to date. Add new vendor EIN's into the payable database. File W-9'sProvide assistance in processing payroll by accurately adding new employee's required personal and W-4 information. Set up deductions for benefits and levies.Remove terminated employees from active database.Ensure work hours have been properly entered into payroll software.As needed assist staff in using the payroll app or website to punch in and out.Performs all other duties, as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAA degree or Accounting CertificateMinimum of two years' experience in accounts payableMinimum of two years' p1ayroll experience requiredHighly organized, and highly detail-oriented; able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly.Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Expert-level verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable taking initiative and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all staff.Passion for and familiarity with nonprofit sector and our mission.Proficient using Payroll software (iSolved preferred), Accounting software and Microsoft Office products, including Office 365.
