Truss/Wall Panel Structural Designer

Tasks include but not limited to:
? Evaluate sales prints prior to scheduling to check for project feasibility and to assist in final project pricing
? Generate 3d project model in our production integrated design software
? Analyze size and placement of all structural components including but not limited to floor joist, headers, beams girders, framing hangers and stairs.
? Plan Wall and Floor panels and placement diagrams per transportation and field assembly guidelines.
? Design Roof and Floor Truss design and placement diagrams.
? Create additional production and assembly documents, such as wall panel and truss elevations, bottom plate views, rake assembly list, ship loose framing material lists and other cutting documents
Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully the person needs to have the following skill sets or ability to learn:
? Common framing practices
? Familiar with residential building codes
? Residential design criteria
? Interior and Exterior completion material usage
? Ability to read plans/blueprints
? Three-dimensional visualization
? Effective written and oral communication
? Problem solving skills
Education and or Experience
? Two-year residential design or architectural engineering degree with adequate knowledge or
equivalent framing experience with adequate computer and design knowledge.
? Ability to thrive in a multi-task, self directed, flexible environment.
To perform this job successful, an individual should have the knowledge or ability to learn quickly the following

? Computer aided design program knowledge
? Microsoft Suite
