We are looking for a hands-on seasoned Business Architect with Business and Technology Transformation project experience to modernize business processes reliant on aging technology. Tavant has partnered with a client to provide a complete business and technology transformation program with the Underwriting, Servicing, and Claims business area.
Job Description
Candidate must be experienced in designing business and system processes with a proven ability to:
- Work with Product Owners, business subject matter experts, technical teams to understand business operations and develop future state business maps and technical flows.
- Lead facilitation of sprint elaboration session to decompose high-level user stories into finite user stories and potential updates to process maps with large cross-functional teams.
- The ideal candidate will create client value through a unique blend of a consultant's approach to problem-solving, an industry knowledge-informed approach to business analysis, and a mature technical understanding that will lead to better questions and valuable answers.
- Candidate will translate business process needs and objectives into desired business and technical requirements, enabling features and applicable user stories.
- Working closely with the lead consultant, the analyst will document user stories, acceptance criteria. Additionally, the analyst should also expect to provide a test case, UAT, and training support as required.
- Facilitating requirements sessions with senior business leadership
- Participating in and supporting project teams as required; including resolving project issues/tasks with timely and effective solutions
- Communicating requirements across a distributed off-site/offshore team.
- Encourage and adhere to agreed PMO standards
- Attend project status meetings- as needed provides status reports and project updates
- Document and track issues, risks, and concerns with the full responsibility to bring to closure in a timely fashion.
- Managing project artifacts and assuring high-quality outcomes
Experience (Must Have)
- Experience in Insurance, Financial, Consumer Lending Domain. Prefer Mortgage Domain
- Should have experience leading small to medium-size teams, preferably in an onshore/offshore setting
- Expertise in diagramming process workflow; defining technical interfaces and internal transformational processes
- Experience in structured and unstructured development processes (Agile)
- Expert in documenting functional requirements across all technical aspects of the solution (UI, business rules, task and activity coordination, technical integrations)
- Ability to lead requirement discussion, JAD sessions, and release planning and prioritization
- Proven ability creating use cases and user stories
- Skilled in translating and decomposing high-level requirements documentation into sufficient detail functional requirements for software design and Detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and requirements
- Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Proficient with standard documentation tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
- Must have a flexible work schedule to facilitate meetings across multiple time zones (US EST and India time zones)
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience with consumer lending products is required for consideration, mortgage, or equity lines is an added advantage
- Seniority Level: 10-15 years (Mid to Senior)
