This position will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager of Global IT Finance and works collaboratively across the team. In addition to developing and overseeing annual budgets and tracking monthly spending against targets, this role is also involved in detailed forecasting and the month-end P closing process and activities. Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.A Day in the LifeThis position provides an opportunity to develop systems, analytical and business partnering skills while providing financial support to Medtronic's Global IT organization.The role will partner with IT Finance & Global IT on aspects of financial management, including forecasting, expense analysis, month-end/quarter-end close, reporting & presenting results, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and capital expenditure requests.This role also includes creating, maintaining and updating reports and troubleshooting system issues, answering questions related to finance process, reporting and/or systems, developing business case financial modeling and attending team and leadership meetings as the finance representative.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.??? Work closely with business partners to drive monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual operating plans and strategic plans. Continually work to improve the forecasting and planning process to drive increased accuracy and efficiency.??? Manage financial fiduciary responsibilities, including:o Month end-close - process monthly journal entries.o Preparing, posting, and answering chargeback related questions.o Submitting Asset Addso Assist cost center and project managers with standard and ad hoc reporting needs, ensuring spending stays within budget and in accordance with company policies.o Capital requests - assist with capital authorization requests and forecasting??? Ownership of financial modeling, forecasting, AOP, scenario planning, and business partnering ensuring that deadlines and targets are met.??? Participate in annual budgeting process for Global IT.??? Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, work with Inter-Company team to complete cross-company chargebacks and month end journal entries. ??? Prepare, deliver, and present monthly financial results for Finance and Management on a timely basis. Ensure the accuracy of the data.??? Develop ad hoc reports to support analyses. Work on special requests, projects, and financial presentations for management as required.Must Have: Minimum Requirements??? Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 2+ years)Nice to Have??? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field??? Microsoft Office expertise, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Must include experience creating pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, NPV/IRR, and other complex functions??? Accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP ??? Microsoft Office experience - Excel, Word, PowerPoint??? Financial modelling experience??? Experience operating in a matrixed environment and interacting across levels and organizations??? Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to communicate results clearly??? Experience supporting an IT function & an understanding of foundational IT concepts??? Technology skills including SAP, Hyperion Essbase, Power BI??? Strong results orientation, including a high degree of initiative, proactive, and self-motivation. Strong work ethic, high integrity, and self-confidence.??? Organized, efficient, process oriented. Strong prioritization skills??? Team oriented with demonstrated ability and willingness to perform various tasks in a fast-paced environment??? Strong customer relations and communications skills (written and verbal).
