Position Summary

The Global Identification Solutions (IDS) Finance Manager is directly aligned to the Global IDS business, and is responsible for leading financial reporting for the business unit. In the global role, you will drive short and long-term financial planning and analysis activities by partnering with cross-functional leadership across Brady's largest business unit. You will provide financial consulting and strategic support to leadership including preparing financial presentations, developing robust, dynamic, and scalable models and proposing process improvements, as well as reporting that can be quickly adapted and updated to support our growth. You will have direct financial ownership of the global R&D and global marketing functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Strategic finance business partner for the IDS President, global R&D team and global marketing
* Monthly and quarterly financial analysis of global platform results and communication to management:

o Adhere to the Brady accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.

o Own the monthly operating reviews with leadership team.

o Provides input for quarterly operating review with executive leadership

o Consolidates and communicates the regional results to executive leadership

* Owner of the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the group. Including responsibility for consolidated roll-up of group budgets and forecasts.

o Corporate liaison to ensure standard guidelines are followed and communicated

o Preparation of financials and support for the 3-year strategic plan

o Coordinates and presents the required information which includes: financials, KPI's, capital, headcount

* Global R&D and global marketing

o Responsible for the global product sales budget

o Analysis and reporting of product profitability

o NPD reporting including but not limited to the vitality index

o NPD project support including ROI analysis and analysis of actuals

o Partner with corporate tax to support the R&D tax credit

* Evaluate acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets to ensure they are financially viable.
* Support global challenges including Big Ideas and Big Improvement Challenges as necessary
* Support IDS focal points with financial analysis or global information
* Owner of all IDS qlikview applications including security, access approval and accuracy
* Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements.
* Provide financial input for quarterly Board Meetings
* Monitor and analyze current processes to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Performs other tasks as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting major;
* Minimum of 4 years of finance experience with progressive responsibility
* Thorough understanding of general accepted accounting principles and financial/business processes

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* MBA, CMA, or CPA
* Highly proficient in financial consolidation and reporting tools (SAP, Qlikview; OneStream; etc.) as well the Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team and across processes.
* Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, with ability to complete necessary analytical reports and provide written commentary and interpretation.
* Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities under a tight deadline, with focus on continuous improvement mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving.
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
