Cost Accountant

Robert Half is looking for skilled Cost Accountants in the south metro. As the Cost Accountant you will be responsible for standard costing and intercompany pricing, working with the bill of materials, maintaining routings, and calculating overhead rates among other duties. It is important this Cost Accountant understands financial statements and how they integrate with cost. Responsibilities include:

• Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
• Construct data accumulation systems
• Determine fixed costs
• Plan and record variable costs
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
• Analyze and report profit margins
• Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study is ideal
• Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
• 3 or more years of costing experience in a manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
