Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds and delivers space related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; strategic deterrents; satellites and associated space components and services; payload and ground systems; and other strategic space-based initiatives.

Northrop Grumman Space Sector's Financial Shared Services group is looking for an Accounting Manager 1 to join our team in Minnetonka MN. This individual will report to the Accounts Payable Senior Manager and oversee Accounts Payable transactions and perform other financial analysis as required. This high impact and high visibility role will work closely with the Sector's division business management and supply chain, Financial Shared Services, and corporate business management and treasury.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

* Analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports.
* Overseeing the control of accounts and records in areas such as expenses and disbursements.
* Compiling and analyzing financial information to record transactions.
* Ensuring adherence to and communicating accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
* Supporting application testing and project implementations.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 6 years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field - OR - a Master's degree with 4 years of professional experience as described above. Additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
* Accounting experience or audit experience.
* People leadership skills.
* US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ability to effectively lead diverse teams that are geographically dispersed and having direct and indirect reporting relationships.
* Strong financial leadership and analytical skills and experience presenting financial information to executive leadership.
* Experience in the aerospace/defense contracting industry.
* Experience with banking transactions and interfaces.
