Job Information

Develop a world class supply chain through the execution of continuous improvement, problem solving tools and training within the Doosan Bobcat supply chain.

Role & Responsibility

  • Identify and evaluate strategic suppliers and execute continuous improvement projects and\or training utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles to achieve world class supplier performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery and total cost of ownership.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and identify internal and external resource needs for timely execution of projects and issue resolution within the supply base.
  • Identify and monitor supply chain metrics that are aligned with Doosan Bobcat supply chain strategic needs.  Responsible to drive action within the supply base to improve metrics.
  • Lead problem solving activities & validate supplier corrective actions to provide robust and sustainable solutions; transfer lessons learned across the supply base as applicable while functioning as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Influence new product designs and supply chain processes to meet quality, delivery and cost targets utilizing APQP tools
  • Accountable for leading Supplier APQP activities and delivering PPAP on time
  • Mitigate risks from supplier product or process change requests
  • Identify world class supply chain process\product techniques and technologies to leverage within our internal organization as well as our supply chain while maintaining the intellectual properties of Doosan Bobcat and our supply base
  • Perform on-site supply base quality systems, process, capability and capacity audits


Job Requirement

  • Supplier Development Engineer I, II, or Sr. depending on experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Engineering- Bachelor’s Degree, allow equivalent
  • Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and\or Quality Assurance experience
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge and ability to apply quality tools and techniques (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Quality audit experience (systems and process) and knowledge of ISO & IATF standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise cross functionally, internally, externally, and make presentations to team members and management
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • 25 - 50% travel

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
