Job Description SummaryIn this role, the Program Manager will lead a cross functional team to establish program deliverables defining the strategy and plans for BWRX-300 modularization, construction and commissioning including interfacing with EPC contractors.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:This individual will serve as the primary liaison between the BWRX-300 product team and potential EPC contractors in establishing the division of responsibilities for project implementations, with a focus on customer value for individual project and long-term product success. The position will drive product decisions and product features that impact modularization and construction in order to overall project cost, schedule, and risk. The position will interface between the internal project team and key contractors for modularization and construction related items in order to manage the transfer information and requests and make decisions related to construction interfaces. Additionally, the position will assist the project delivery team in customer communications related to construction strategy and interfaces. The position will assure timely resolution of issues while keeping the internal and external team advised. This role will also support proposal development and contract negotiations. Drives improvements in products, processes and procedures and works together the cross functional business team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED) with at least 5 years of experience in power plant construction.10 years project management experience, preferable in the Nuclear or Power industry5 years' experience in EPC projectsDesired Characteristics:* Knowledge of EPC Contract Structure* Experience in Commissioning/Startup of power plants* Experience in resolution of field defects during construction* Knowledge of power plant design process and engineering design tools* Strong oral and written communication skills* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently* Strong problem-solving skills* Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects* Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs* Established project management skills* New plant project management experience* Nuclear power experience* Power plant design experience* Experience working with governmentsGE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in Canada for this opening.
