Job Description

Job Summary:

Directs kitchen staff to ensure food orders are accurately and properly prepared for assigned station. Prepares more complex food items according to standard operating procedures.

Job Duties:

  1. Prepares more complex food items according to standard operating procedures and food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  2. Assists with setup, prep work, and delivery of food products.
  3. Directs other cooks to ensure food orders are prepared accurately and timely for assigned station.
  4. Completes all prep sheets.
  5. Maintains cleanliness and order of kitchen equipment and assigned work station.
  6. Maintains cooler and storage area.
  7. Rotates food product to ensure freshness.

Days Monday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Hiring Rate or Hiring Range $18 - $20 / hour based on qualifications

Requirements

  1. Cook experience in any of the following types of kitchens: line, banquets/cartering or production.
  2. Experience running kitchen/line in Chef's absence.
  3. Experience in ensuring food prepartion procedures for quality, uniformity and accurateness are met.
  4. Basic knowledge of sanitation practices, quality control, recipe interpretation, and prep duties.
  5. On feet or standing 100% of time.
  6. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  7. Exposure to varied temperatures between freezers and hotline equipment.
