Electrical Mechanical Field Service Technician

This full-time, permanent Electrical Mechanical Field Service Technician career opportunity is at a company recognized for their excellence in their industry. The company services and rebuilds a variety of machine tools throughout North America and South America. This smaller company is very stable and has never experienced an economic layoff. If needed, technicians have access to the company owner, to the electrical engineer and to the mechanical engineer for any assistance or guidance. There is a variety of equipment and machines the technicians work on so there is a lot of learning and variety. Employees have the ability to move to other parts of the company if that is of interest. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

• Participating in training to learn company products
• Training customers on company products
• Installing equipment
• Participating in equipment repairs
• Providing telephone customer support to customers
• Testing and diagnosing issues
• Encouraging customers to purchase needed products and services
• Travelling 50% throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico

The successful candidates' backgrounds should include:

• Two or more years of maintenance, mechanical or field service experience for manufacturing equipment
• One or more years of Programmable Logic Controls experience
• One or more years of Human Machine Interface experience
• One or more years of variable frequency drive experience
• Possess the ability to travel 50% throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico
• A valid drivers license with an insurable driving record
