SUMMARY Work at the Student Enrollment Center during the back to school "Fall Rush" administering English assessments to students entering or returning to the Minneapolis Public Schools who have a Home Language Other Than English Create "test tickets" for assessment, administer the assessment and print results Explain assessment and ESL services to parents, answer questions about MPS classroom experience Qualifications: MPS teacher (i.e. retired) ideal, especially ESL teacher or teacher with strong ESL connection Need to have familiarity with Wida screeners - ideally have been certified in ACCESS or Screener Online before Availability: Most temp teachers work 2-4 days per week, full or ?? days We ask temp teachers commit to work at least four days during the period. Fall Rush 2021 dates are August 9, 2019 - September 17, 2019 - Flexible hours between 7:30 and 5:00, with potential for some extra hours. Final candidates may be invited to interview with a committee. Final appointment to this position will be contingent upon passing a criminal background check.
