Engineering Manager - Access Product Development

This role will be part of global engineering supporting commercial, industrial and energy businesses. This position will be in Waukesha WI and will be reporting to Director, Product Development North America.

Job Purpose:

To lead design and testing of new products, custom components, maintenance of existing product lines and development of product literature.

Essential Duties:

• Lead and coordinate team of Engineers and Technicians to conceptualize, design, perform detailed Engineering calculations, perform testing and create drawings and bills of material of new access systems and components (scaffolds, hoists, suspended access systems, etc.)
• Leverage Engineering CAD, FEA and PDM management tools effectively
• Assist in development of product literature

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Architectural, Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 -10 years Engineering experience
• Must have strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office
• Proficiency with CAD and drafting
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills necessary along with a customer service focus
• Motivated to learn new and challenging tasks and work in the construction industry
• Creative problem solving, in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD, FEA and PDM
• 3 - 5 years management experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing, welding, steel fabrication, painting, galvanizing and coatings
• Knowledge of engineering software such as structural analysis, FEA, STAAD, RISA, TEDDS, ENERCALC and others
