We are small credit union with almost 70 years in the mortgage industry! Now over 200,000 members we are looking to add a conventional underwriter to our team.

What You Will Be Doing

Review all loans and registrations for completeness and accuracy
Responsible for generating Account Condition Letter (ACL) per Regulation B requirements
Determine initial potential for qualification by evaluating credit history, income levels and assets/liabilities; calculate debt- to-income and loan-to-value ratios Restructure loan request and recommend for adverse action as needed
Collect, analyze and ingest document to clear ACL conditions
Update loan origination system with the information from collected documents and re-run Desktop Underwriter (DU)
Maintain a working knowledge of both originating systems for home equity loans and lines of credit

What You Need for this Position

At least 3 years of processing, underwriting and/or lending experience
Experienced working with Mortgage Cadence software a plus
Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations related to mortgage lending
Knowledge of financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, and appraisals
