Senior Electrical Engineer

One of the region's quickest-growing MEP Consulting Engineering firms, specializing in the design of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and technology systems is currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. With over 50 year history of providing reliable and energy efficient design solutions for various building types, such as: Healthcare, Laboratories, University, Commercial, Industrial, Mission Critical, K-12 and Government buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide schematic design information to Lead Project Engineer, such as mechanical and electrical room sizes and requirements.
• Incorporate design concepts through schematic design into design development and work with project team to produce construction documents.
• Direct Entry Level/Design Engineers and review their work.
• Prepare specifications
• Participae in company-wide special projects.
• Mentor junior staff, including Entry Level/Design Engineers and interns
• Attend Construction meetings and produce observation reports and participate in final shop drawing reviews.
• Provide code research and evaluations.
• Provide value engineering

Position Requirements:

• 5+ year's of Electrical Engineering experience for the built environment.
• B.S. in Engineering required
• FE required, LEED and/or PE preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical system design
• Understanding and knowledge of industry codes
