Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

This role will report to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis for Commercial Banking (CB) finance, and will lead Governance & Oversight activities, COSO compliance, Model/EUCT compliance and overall leadership around policies and procedures for the group (covering 140 employees across 7 sub-teams)

Specifically, this role will:

  • SME role in support of Governance & Oversight requirements for CB Finance
  • Oversight for all COSO compliance requirements for CB Finance, including but not limited to, external reporting and stress testing deliverables (CCAR, MYFA, etc.)
  • Lead Model/EUCT compliance for CB Finance. This role will take on the role of Model Champion for the group.
  • Lead or coordinate all policy and procedure reviews for policies applicable to CB Finance and finance-related policies applicable to the CB line of business
  • Review and challenge RCSA and/or procedures documentation applicable to the services and/or processes managed by CB Finance
  • Work with Auditors and Regulators as necessary


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
  • 5+ years of leadership experience



Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Demonstrated success and mastery managing in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
  • Solid critical thinking skills
  • Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to lead and operate collaboratively, execution focused, and results oriented



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Significant prior experience with COSO requirements
  • Significant prior experience developing programs and controls to comply with finance-related policies and procedures
  • Prior experience with Model Governance and/or End User Computing Tools


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
