Fetting’s Frozen Foods, LLC. is a frozen dough manufacturer located in Finley, ND. We are a company committed to growing and creating opportunities for our team members to enhance their careers. We are looking for a dedicated individual to take on the Production Manager role.

Summary:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members engaged in the production of frozen dough.
  • Effectively maximize production yield and minimize production waste.
  • Monitor and manage all aspects of production operations in accordance with established company/industry standards and procedures.
  • Train new team members in job duties to maintainconsistency throughout the production process.
  • Ensure team members are always working safe. Comfort level working in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Manage Production
 Develop production/operational goals based on actual and projected customer needs, and investigate any cause, and
possible solutions to any problems reflected in the metrics
 Responsible for collecting, recording, and reporting operational data
 Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, local, state, and federal
requirements. Must be willing to obtain certification in the following programs: HAACP, SQF, and FSMA.
 Inventory Control and Sanitation supply ordering
 Assist with the trouble shooting of dough issues.
 Continually inspect the production area to verify that everything is operating properly. Submit work orders to maintenance for repairs and/or modifications needed on the equipment or safety related
 Strategize and implement new ideas to improve manufacturing efficiency and at the same time watching out for the
safety and wellbeing of the team members
 Assign job tasks according to production schedule
 Coach team members that are not meeting their performance goals. Complete performance appraisals on team members.
 Follow progressive discipline according to guidelines with team members not meeting expectations
 Facilitate a five-minute team member meeting each day to keep the team members informed of safety precautions, performance, policies, etc.
 Interview, hire and train all new team members in various trainings, including safety, and minimize team member turnover
 Ensure safety procedures are being observed and safety test are being completed in a timely manner
 As needed, fill in as production team member and performs tasks necessary to meet production goals.
 Assist in Quality Assurance - Inspect products, weights, making sure swab tests are being performed correctly when needed.
 Inspect paperwork daily for accuracy
 Must be able to drive a forklift
 Must be involved in all plant inspections and audits
 Audit pest control
 Assist in allergen control throughout the plant

 Assist in production scheduling
 Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Production


QUALIFICATIONS
 Work experience preferably in bakery/ food manufacturing.
 3-5 years of production, manufacturing experience, strong knowledge of bakery procedures and baking practices preferred
 3-5 years of demonstrated supervisory experience
 Proven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectives
 Results-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making skills
 Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
 Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and follow-through skills
 Ability to work a full-time schedule and be punctual
 Proven experience in quality and safety

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery

Pay: $30/Hr. Depending on experience

Fetting’s Frozen Foods, LLC was formed in 2016 and is the successor company to Fetting’s Frozen Bakery/Top Taste Inc. Fetting’s was established in 1960 by Harold and Janice Fetting as a retail bakery; where they baked fresh bread, buns and rolls daily. While Janice baked the mouthwatering deliciousness, Harold became the sales force, delivering products daily to the surrounding communities. In 1972, a frozen dough plant started to cut into their business, the Fettings started to believe that this might be the way to go. They purchased some chest freezers, and started to test it with their customers. They ended up expanding; purchasing more chest freezers in in 1976, expanded the frozen dough business and built the first section of the manufacturing facility. When Harold and Janice started the business, the Fettings were able to produce about 45 different products. Fetting’s Frozen Foods, LLC is currently producing over 300 quality products today.
