The Vice President Corporate Development is a new role for Thomson Reuters and will report to the Head of Business Development. The role will support TR's M&A strategy by leading the process across multiple market segments and geographies. The role will lead a cross functional team to assess and execute the TR's strategic priorities.

In this opportunity as the VP, Corporate Development, you will:

Lead a cross-functional divestiture team to prioritize and execute M&A strategic priorities
Provide a deep understanding of and advise the business on industry/market trends and the implications for business strategy
Develop and nurture relationships with key industry players, financial & strategic buyers, and bankers
Direct the preparation of reports, communication and approval materials as required by internal governance procedures
Participate in Investment Committee discussions in assessing the strategic, financial, and operational fit of assets
Partner with TR's market facing Segments and Corporate Development team
Coordinate the execution of post-closing operational activities

You're a fit for the role of VP, Corporate Development if you:

Have 15+ years in business development, investment banking or similar experience with a track record of success
Have 5+ years of leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility
Can work cross-functionally and lead cross functional teams
Have a strong presence in front of senior executives
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have an Undergraduate degree in finance or related business degree, with an MBA or other advanced business degree a plus
