We are looking to bring on a Lead Python Engineer with an understanding of modern backend frameworks, has experience building highly scaled platforms in modern cloud architecture and can create custom REST APIS and integrate them into backend features. The specific app you will be working on has over 6.5M users and growing. It's been recognized as one of the Fastest Growing Vertical Community Apps in the U.S. by Andreessen Horowitz alongside apps like Discord. This is the first key technical hire that will be working alongside the Product Owner who came from Twitch. We want your thoughts, insights, and opinions. You will also help us building an engineering team (currently outsourced).

What You Will Be Doing
  • Take ownership of all our back end features and frameworks as we continue to grow our platform
  • Work with latest and most advanced back end architecture in our language agnostic environment
  • Build and update new features on the platform and ensure they are free of bugs
  • Work with and lead development teams while delivering high quality app features
What You Need for this Position
  • 10+ years with SW Development
  • 5+ years with Python
  • At least 2 years managing a team
  • Mentor other engineers
  • Building massively distributed systems
  • Work on multiple projects at once
  • Golang (Plus)
  • Microservice infrastructure, Docker, and Kubernetes
