Job Details

The Biomedical Support Technician is responsible for timely delivery and pickup of medical equipment to the biomed department and returned back to the departments when work has been completed. The Technician is responsible for transporting Infusion Pumps, PCA Pumps, Bed/Chair Checks, External Pacemakers, and any equipment that would be designated for repair or Preventive Maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission, vision and values of Altru Health System.
  • Cleans and maintains all designated equipment according to standard operating procedures.
  • Picks up and delivers all equipment to the correct destination.
  • Prioritizes stat and emergency requests into schedule.
  • Performs assigned daily tasks according to the Biomed support technician daily operational duties.
  • Participates in measuring and monitoring quality indicators and outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
