Overview
The Robotics engineer will be responsible for the programming and setup of robots used in automated systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with the sales team to evaluate robotic application feasibility.
- Develop offline robot programs using Fanuc Robo-Guide and Octopuz software's
- Initialize and install software on Fanuc robots
- Setup robot frames
- Verify path programming, I/O, and logic
- Troubleshoot and repair problems found during testing
- Participate in project reviews to help ensure projects are completed on time and budget consistent with customers' expectations.
- Operate in a team environment to help meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience of Robotics programming experience in a custom automation environment
- Able to translate automation conceptual designs into functional equipment
- Able to think analytically and creatively while keeping safety and cost in mind
- Able to operate on own initiative with minimal supervision, but also contribute as a team member working within the Electrical Engineering team and other cross functional teams
- Able to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machine schematics
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office products
