Maltwerks Inc has an exciting Customer Service Representative opportunity servicing the craft brewing, distilling and greater food and beverage industries. Maltwerks is an ingredient supply and craft malt house company focused on genuine relationships in offering quality, locally produced, traceable malt and adjunct ingredients. This position entails servicing and growing Maltwerks business in the food and beverage industry. This position is based out of Maltwerks office in Detroit Lakes, MN.

As a Customer Service Representative, located in Detroit Lakes, MN, you will serve as the primary connection between Maltwerks and our customer base. Previous customer service and general accounting experience along with the ability to learn new processes will give you the ability to address incoming client and vendor issues ranging anywhere from billing/accounting inquiries or logistical issues to order changes.

Your day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Answers incoming telephone, determine purpose of call and forward to appropriate personnel
  • Daily assistance to the Credit Department including answering customer inquiries regarding their account
  • Process customer payments
  • Accurately keying in customer orders into proprietary software programs
  • Organizing and filing customers sales orders
  • Distributing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Assisting with preparing and mailing out product samples to customers
  • Document scanning: vendor invoices, credit memos, deposits, credit application
  • Flexibility to assist with various projects from departments throughout the office as available
  • Must be proficient with multi line phones and Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Accounting skills helpful
  • Must be self-driven and able to think creatively
  • Strong people skills
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Positive attitude and welcomes challenges
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task is a must
  • Good organization skills are essential
