As the Marketing Data Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting customer data intelligence to enable elevated levels of marketing efficiency and business revenue growth. The Specialist will manage customer data health by identifying, organizing, and analyzing internal and external data. This role will also provide support for marketing, big data analytics, and data privacy.

This position may work out of our West Fargo, ND, Bismarck, ND or Minneapolis, MN location. 

Role & Responsibility

  • Evaluate data quality through organizational, procedural and/or technological means. With internal technical teams, implement new processes to ensure ongoing data quality, accuracy and completeness in market intelligence applications and analyses.
  • Assists in the assessment of acquiring new data sources. Provides input on and advocates for future initiatives/projects/tools. 
  • Assists with the development and implementation of the data protection strategy, including the privacy policy and compliance rules, across the Marketing organization for the collection, storage, use, and removal of customer data.
  • Build stakeholder trust and confidence through being responsive, and delivering work that is accurate, complete, and reliable. Help to build increased demand for analysis services and a data-driven culture. 
  • Ensure data quality processes are implemented as internal teams and vendors develop solutions for marketing constituencies, which include combinations of data, technology, partners, data integrations and analytics.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the data available, the applications involved, and the data lineage that’s required by the Marketing team. 
  • Support Marketing data business requirements for issue resolution, data enhancements, and agile epic and feature development work.
  • Have a working knowledge of tag management and KPIs used for tracking campaign performance.


Job Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline such as Business Intelligence, Business Analytics. 
2+ years’ minimum hands-on experience in DMP, CDP development; including experience with digital advertising technology or media strategy, analytics or digital agency or equivalent years of experience within the digital arm of a consulting firm.
Experience with digital campaign operations, digital marketing strategy development and overall large account ownership.
Offline data onboarding experience a plus.
Experience with digital integrations across multiple technology vendors.
Experience in data management & data governance a plus.
Marketing background, understanding of dealer marketing related data.
Ability to perform data analysis (comparing multiple datasets) using a variety of techniques, visualizations, and tools to uncover patterns, predictions or insights.
Analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.
Ability to employ critical thinking, objective analysis, and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment/opinion/recommendation.
Ability to drive continuous data management quality (i.e. completeness, accuracy) through defined and governed principles.
Ability to identify and mitigate data quality issues effectively.
Be able to plan and lead projects to completion.
Show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
Travel Technical Qualifications

Experience with analytical tools such as PowerBI or similar, when dealing with larger datasets.
Advanced knowledge in data discovery and manipulation that allows for the ability to investigate variances between tools and other datasets, providing detailed analysis results.
Experience with advanced capabilities of one or more data management platforms (DMPs), such as Adobe Audience Manager, Oracle/BlueKai, Turn, Salesforce/Krux, etc.
Experience with advanced capabilities of one or more customer data platforms (CDPs), such as SalesForce CDP, Adobe Experience Platform, Tealium, mParticle, Segment etc.
Experience with ETL tools, Web Analytics platforms administration, SQL query, Customer Journey Orchestration tools is a plus.
