Job Description Summary

The Internal Communications Manager will provide a broad range of communications support and services for the Aviation business. The incumbent will assume the day-to-day responsibilities of Inclusion and Diversity communications and collaborate with senior executives on development and implementation of enterprise-wide internal communication strategies and plans that drive employees' understanding of key initiatives and engage and align employees on the business strategy. Additional responsibilities include client communications responsibilities for Legal and Compliance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan and execute communications strategy for Inclusion & Diversity communications. Provide communications strategy support for Chief Diversity Officer
  • Create and execute strategy and tactics including executive presentations, providing communications support to the Legal executive staff for internal communications for the organization.
  • Collaborates with communications team members and business partners to develop messages that resonate with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Builds an understanding of division objectives in order to tie communications work directly to desired business outcomes.
  • Proactively seeks guidance from stakeholders to determine potential consequences of messaging strategies.
  • Identifies the program channels to reach target audiences.
  • Advises leaders regarding projects, processes and procedures requiring communications.
  • Research, write and publish internal communication pieces and employee interest stories.
  • Define and track key performance indicator metrics. Continuously improve efforts by monitoring behaviors and outcomes that matter to the business.
  • Actively contributes to editorial planning, suggesting content ideas and appropriate project timelines.
  • Participates in content compilation of internal communications vehicles, including newsletters, All Hands, email announcements and presentation.
  • Employee All Hands and Leadership meeting presentation and event support as needed.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • 2+ years' experience in Marketing, Communications, related field, or completed CLDP program rotation
  • Effectively able to build relationships within the organization to help achieve business outcomes
  • Provide counsel and communications support to operations leaders and functional managers
  • Lead business partners and staff and achieves consensus and results even without positional authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think analytically and conceptually using creativity, logic, and reason
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office, strong experience with PowerPoint

  • Ideal candidate will be based in Cincinnati (Evendale) but may be open to remote candidates
