This position is full - time (40 hours / week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 8:00pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

You may opt to work onsite at any E&I Site, OR if are currently working remotely, you may continue to enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

We offer 11 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Simplify health care system guidance and drive engagement in programs across the continuum of care
• Conduct provider searches
• Perform closed, denied, and simple claim adjustments
• Meet Quality and Customer Satisfaction requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation in ORS
• Take accountability and ownership for any follow - up work needed to resolving and close issues
• Take ownership of resolution of inquiries end to end
• Resolve issues including benefits, eligibility and claims as needed
• Pitch clinical programs as appropriate
• Identify anticipate and resolve Member issues to prevent future calls
• Maintain proficiency in all technical applications (technical skills and system knowledge)
• Comply with all current policies, procedures and workflows
• Ability to works independently and collaborate with others
• Serve as a resource for others.
• Ability to work any shift between 8:00am to 8:00pm flexible for shift within these hours in their time zone

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of medical claims billing ICD10, CPT, or HCPC codes
• Ability to work any shift between 8:00am to 8:00pm flexible for shift within these hours in their time zone

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Medicare
• Experience with UNET platform
• Health Care / Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
• Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion and behavior change (working with vulnerable populations)
• Sales or account management experience
• Customer Service Experience
• Experience in the Employer and Individual (E&I) Group- Benefit Ops performing Benefit Advocate functions
• Must have completed E&I Benefit Ops Advocate4Me Tier 1 Training
• Must be within E&I Benefit Ops
