Title: BookkeeperDepartment:Trust AccountingPosition Type:Non-Exempt Hours per Week:40Position Summary:Third Party Administrator of employee benefit funds is seeking a Bookkeeper. Candidate must be a self-starter and detailed oriented. Bookkeeper reports to staff accountant supervisor. "Has minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by Job Description/Role."General Duties:Prepare wire/book transfer letters and maintain daily cashReview of all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to paymentSort and distribute incoming mailProcess check requestsAudit and process credit card bills, if applicableMatch invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly1099 full cycle processRespond to all vendor inquiriesReconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepanciesAssist in month end closing Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesDaily management of positive pay processHealth Reimbursement Arrangement administrationAssist and prepare for various Plan audits/reconciliation Prepare reporting as neededConsistently demonstrate excellent attendance and punctualityPerform other related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:3+ years of experience in accounting, be a fast learner with strong attention to detail, be well organized and able to work with little supervisionBasic bookkeeping knowledge required. Familiarity with automated accounting systems preferredIntermediate knowledge of MS Excel;Detail oriented;Good communication skills;Ability to follow departmental and company procedures;Ability to balance data batches to cash, prepare bank deposits;Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure;Excellent attendance record; andProven skills regarding contributing to a positive work environment.Zenith American SolutionsReal People.
