This position is full-time working 70 hours a pay period at our Grand Arbor facility.

This position is also eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus!

Scope:
  • Maintain cleanliness within households .
  • Responsible for maintaining cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing resident rooms and facility by carrying out general cleaning duties. Empty garbage and waste containers. Wash windows, walls and clean screens. Clean guest suites, assists in independent living cleans upon move out/move in. Stock housekeeping rooms and set up all other resident/care rooms. Empty and transfer soiled laundry. Clean and disinfect equipment and storage rooms. Clean common bathrooms .
  • Document in accordance with regulations and established policies and procedures .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Household, Resident Room and Facility Cleaning- Maintain uncompromising levels of cleanliness in the households. Maintain clean spaces in the households, including resident rooms, household common spaces, spa rooms and laundry/hopper rooms as well as support spaces and equipment. Respect resident time and personal belongings. Treat residents with courtesy and respect. Recognize role as a guest in the resident’s home. Coordinate work with the household team to ensure the housekeeping needs of the household are met within the staffing resources of the household. Coordinate resident move in and move out tasks with Maintenance and Housing Advisors. Maintain supply of all materials to meet resident needs in the household. Maintain stock of materials to ensure supply demands are met throughout facility.
  • Team Participation- As a member of the team, actively participates in team activities, meetings and processes. Promote team building concepts. Facilitate involvement in meetings and other household events with residents, visitors and staff. Assist in the orientation of new team members as assigned. Effectively collaborate with staff to promote the residents’ total well-being. Act as an advocate for residents.
  • Other Duties as Assigned- Uses applicable infection control procedures. In the event of a fire or other emergency, assist with resident evacuation. Attend in-service training and other work-related meetings as required or approved. Carry out special projects as identified. Assist with event preparation and clean up. The Environmental Services duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Requires high school diploma.
  • Must have an ability to work cooperatively with staff, residents, and family. Must have an ability to work with changing priorities, work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must complete and pass a state required background study.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
  • Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
