The Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce is adding to our talented team!

We are seeking a Director of Workforce Development to lead efforts to recruit and retain talent that powers our member businesses. The director will primarily lead our Bridges Workplace Connection Program that introduces high school students to local career opportunities. Our current director, Mary Gottsch, is retiring after 31 years of service.

Who are we looking for?

  • A leader with related experience in either business or education, but more importantly has the skills and personality to bring those professionals together.
  • A positive relationship-builder with good communication skills.
  • Someone who enjoys organizing events and has an eye for detailed planning.
  • An independent worker with an entrepreneurial spirit.

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including three weeks paid vacation, paid sick time and 10 paid holidays; health, disability and life insurance; IRA contribution; and cell phone reimbursement. Remote work is possible 1-2 days per week.
