As a key member of the Maintenance team, our Maintenance Technicians:

  • Performs routine building maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Prepares and organizes materials and equipment
  • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment
  • Provide assistance to the Housekeeping team, on occasion, with projects such as carpet/floor cleaning or moving furniture
  • Report needed repairs or replacements of equipment and tools to their supervisor
  • Makes notes of any problems found, or residents' comments, and turns them in daily to the supervisor
  • Respond to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift
  • Provide assistance to the Housekeeping team, on occasion, with projects such as carpet/floor cleaning or moving furniture
  • Take note of supplies running low or in need or replacement and reports it to the supervisor
  • Performs daily rounds and check of various safety systems as assigned, including completing related record keeping
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities


Education and/or Equivalent Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized training or work experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to read, write, and speak in English
  • Must be able to follow oral and written directions and instruction
  • Must work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team with the desire and ability to solve problems, have initiative, and be willing to work flexible hours
  • Must relate successfully to others with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of cleanliness
  • Must be able to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding, maintenance-related tasks inside and outside of the building
  • Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
