This role will oversee and be responsible for operations of the POWER Hockey Academy in Bismarck.
Job Summary
Responsible for the leadership of designated program operations. Assist with youth programs and activities including tournaments, junior programs, academies, special groups and instruction. Direct and supervise program activities to meet academy objectives. Expand youth sports programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations. Respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner. Compile program statistics, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and participation in the program.
Assist in the marketing and distribution of youth sports program information. May be required to organize and schedule program registrations and process program scholarship applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of five years skills training and/or coaching/playing experience required.
Professional playing experience required.
Ability to demonstrate and develop hockey specific skills including the skate stride, stickhandling, shooting, and able to teach on ice awareness
Knowledgeable in the sport and associated skating mechanics, common injuries, and appropriate training progressions.
Be able to consult and work closely with POWER sports medicine and sport performance team.
CPR certification and AED certification required or within six months of hire.
USA Hockey Level 4/5 coaching certification preferred, not required
