Technical Writer-Training Writer

6+ month contract project position as part of large implementation of Lab Info Management System called Lab Vantage. Responsible for writing user training material for LabVantage usage. Onsite position in Maplewood MN> Can extend into phase 2 of project. 3+ years of technical writing, training writing specifically, and knowledge of LIMS (Lab Information Management Systems). Must be eligible to work in US without sponsorship now or later. No C2C arrangements. Pay: $35-48/hr dependent on experience.

Technical Writer working on Laboratory Information Management systems training modules and training materials. Company is implementing new LMS (laboratory information management system) call Lab Vantage. Tech Writer consultant will write documentation and training associated with the LabVantage software usage.

• Designing and writing documentation and training which our clients can use to get up-to-speed on our new Global LIMS (laboratory information management systems) software solution.
• Collaborating with many teams in the organization to ensure documentation and communication is accurate and complete.
• Learning a variety of processes associated with the Global LIMS and gaining understanding of the software and the audience that uses it.

Skills and Expertise

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in technical writing in lieu of the Bachelor's degree education requirement
• Two (2) years of technical writing experience for software in a private, public, government, or military environment.

• Previous experience using the following tools for writing and publishing documentation and training: Articulate Presenter, Microsoft Office solutions, SharePoint
