Learn more about becoming a Butler Tech by visiting Technician Pay Scale: $26.39/hr-$42.76/hr, DOE.Job Responsibilities for a Diesel Service TechnicianThe position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on all Butler Ag Lines, including but not limited to AGCO, Claas, etc.Excellent troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry. For example: Hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.Work overtime as workload dictatesProactively maintains a safe and clean work environment.Work independently as well as part of a teamCommitted to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standardsMust be able to lift up to 70 lbsMajority of work will be out of a field service truck.Occasional overnight stays required.Travel for work, to other Butler and customer locationsOther duties as assignedQualifications for a Diesel Service TechnicianTwo-year associates degree in related field preferred or equivalent applicable experience.Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.Trade-specific tooling, including hand and pneumatic toolsAbility to provide an excellent customer experience and an outgoing personalityIndividual must be able to work well without supervision.Proficient computer technology skillsStrong organizational skillsCDL preferred or the ability to obtainAbility to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicleMust have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills quicklyBenefits for a Diesel Service TechnicianAs a family business for three generations, we currently employ over 800 associates In 20 locations throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Nebraska.
