The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.
The Final Document Loan Sales Operations Team within Home Lending Operations is looking to fill a Loan Servicing Specialist IV position on the team in Minneapolis, MN. The primary objective of this team is to support the success of Capital Markets Loan Sales by maximizing the salability and profitability of each sale; procuring and correcting Final Documents, perfecting lien position, and efficiently managing and coordinating the document exception support functions for all business partners.
The successful candidate will:
  • Utilize effective negotiation & problem solving skills to identify the appropriate course of action to resolve issues.
  • Possess the ability to analyze & prioritize between multiple tasks on a daily basis & ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement & participate in the implementation of these changes.
  • Contribute to the documentation of existing processes & share best practices with other areas.
  • Possess the ability to lead yourself and be a role model for others.
  • Employ strong communication skills and take initiative in obtaining documentation.
  • Identify trends.
  • Apply decision making skills to procurement decisions.
  • Participate in projects as needed.
  • Track and monitor inventory on an ongoing basis for compliance and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Communication via multiple sources (fax, phone, email, and formal letter).
  • Participates in performance monitoring reviews.
  • Facilitates effective integration/timing of change initiatives related to assigned business operations.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer service, loan administration, collections, or sales environment demonstrated through work or military experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and identify creative solutions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents/reports
  • Ability to foster effective partnerships
  • Solid critical thinking skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of document management: loan documents flowing through the imaging process
  • Experience managing a pipeline of work from assignment to completion
  • Knowledge and understanding of mortgage servicing or post closing operations
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting mortgage/financial documents
  • Knowledge and understanding of SharePoint
Other Desired Qualifications
  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) and performance measures
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) application
  • Ability to effectively work an inventory queue while balancing time completion FD Loan Sales Operations specialized task(s). Component of job is to provide feedback to employees and potentially interact with business partners and vendors in day-to-day work flow.
Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $33,300 Mid: $45,000
