Job Summary:

A CAD Surfacing / Designer are responsible for developing class A surfaces for interior surfaces or exterior aerodynamic surfaces. In this role, you will create models and detailed production drawings of components and assemblies using Creo Parametric.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

* Work directly with Engineering to complete new designs and modifications, incorporate engineering change orders and release detailed drawing packages
* Create and revise class A surface, solid models and detailed drawings of complex components and assemblies using Creo Parametric
* Manage, promote and release engineering data using Windchill PDMLink

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

* Degree in Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or a related field with an emphasis on Advanced 3D CAD Surface modeling
* Experience working with 3D CAD software including complex solid & surface modeling skills
* High level Advanced 3D CAD Surfacing; consumer centered design, Class A surfacing preferred
* The ability to translate design intent into high quality 3D CAD surfaces from point clouds, surfacing software exports, and sketches.
* Proficient planning and organization skills, initiative, accountability, and a strong attention to detail
* At least two years' experience using Creo Parametric preferred
* Relatable experience in SolidWorks, Catia, ICEM, Rhino, and Alias
* Experience using Windchill PDMLink preferred,
* Strong understanding of top-down modeling principles and practices
* Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerance
* Ability to work effectively with others in a cross functional organization
* Competent computer database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing abilities
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Effective interpersonal skills

This opportunity is located in Duluth MN or North Dallas TX.
