Working within the Global Solutions FP&A team, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in forecasting, planning and reporting for Global Solutions. As a member of the finance team, the position will manage key financial deliverables related to business planning and budgeting associated with full P&L visibility.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze, develop, and report on financial forecasts and modeling
• Develop or improve upon existing financial reporting tools to continuously improve insights on Revenue, Medical cost and SG&A trends to leadership and key business partners
• Understand the UnitedHealth Group financial process and become an active participant in the management of its financials
• Utilize forecast knowledge to understand, measure and steer key growth initiatives
• Partner with multiple teams as the Finance liaison, and maintain a solid working relationship
• Ability to work collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment
• Assist with identifying, analyzing, and driving key trends across multiple business lines
• Assist with monthly close research and analysis
• Various ad-hoc analyses and reports as necessary

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of progressive financial experience
• Work experience anticipating issues, assessing their implications, and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office product suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare experience
• Essbase and PeopleSoft experience
• Ability to generate innovative approaches and solutions to business opportunities
• Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build solid relationships at all levels of the organization
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others
• Ability to work collaboratively across a matrix environment to positively influence business partners

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $53,300 to $95,100.
