Corporate Communications Manager - Government Business Division The Corporate Communications Manager - Government Business Division (GBD) will support the development and implementation of internal communications for Anthem's government business and related initiatives. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: - Develop key messages that help business leaders reinforce values and strategies that support key initiatives, provide relevant context to internal audiences, and promote open communication lines. - Create content for programmatic campaigns that address critical business needs and celebrate milestones, as well as individual leader talking points and executive communications. - Develop, review, and edit communications materials for senior management. - Develop both enterprise-wide communications and tailored, audience-specific messages for the GBD organization. - Work collaboratively with communication leaders and peers to ensure consistent messaging, program development, and processes across the enterprise. - Support the development of Town Hall content, including talking points and slides. - Support meeting production, from invitations to day-of logistics. - Write and edit intranet articles based on content provided by subject matter experts in the organization. - Ensure that communications reflect Anthem's culture and business strategy. - Design and format engaging communications that connect associates to the broader strategy. - Oversee distribution of executive communications, with careful attention to detail. Work location: Any one of the following Anthem states: California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin. May consider other locations for most qualified candidate. Please note this is an individual contributor role. Qualifications Minimum requirements: Requires a BA/BS, preferably in English, Communications, Media, or Journalism; 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background. Preferred qualifications: - Knowledge of managed care and the health insurance industry. - MS degree. - Experience in large, complicated matrixed organizations; ability to navigate through ambiguous situations with little direction. - Exceptional project management skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple projects and internal stakeholders simultaneously. Ideal candidate will possess the following: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to write about complex concepts in easy-to-understand language and distill messaging to reach a diverse internal audience. - Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously with minimal direction. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - A demonstrated ability to build relationships and earn the trust of all levels of employees and management. - A passion for excellence and a keen attention to detail. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on highly sensitive issues with employees and management at all levels, with emphasis on developing trust and maintaining confidentiality.
