Maintenance Project EngineerWork Mode:HybridLocation:Kohler, WIOpportunityWe are seeking a professional to join our team, with a passion for equipment reliability and asset life management.The role of Maintenance Project Engineer is focused on asset life cycle and the prevention of failures. Development of maintenance strategies through collaboration with process engineering, maintenance and purchasing is a cornerstone of prolonged life and reliability. Applying a drive and understand of new technologies, predictive maintenance, smart factory and AI will support early detection of failures and provide transparency for all stake holders. The ability to glean and communicate information from data to drive financial decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and support of RCA events are also a function of this role.The successful applicant must be detail-oriented, possess excellent organization skills, communicate effectively and be self-directed. Mentoring of peers and maintenance staff on best practices and precision maintenance in the field will further our team's objective of improving asset health.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESEstablish the scope of predictive and maintenance programs for optimum maintenance effectiveness that align with smart factory objectives.Identify critical spares through supplier recommendation and asset owners and use of FMEA.Direct the development and maintenance of a lubrication program.Audit predictive and preventative maintenance programs periodically to ensure their effectiveness and economic soundness and lead PM optimization efforts.Analyze vibration readings and meet with asset owners at regular intervals to discuss condition and needed actions.Manage and maintain vibration program including monitoring of new equipment for deviations from design specifications.Assist maintenance personnel with balancing, laser alignment, and special case vibration readings and analysis.Direct the development of maintenance strategies Systematically weigh the cost/benefit of each maintenance strategy against the consequence of failure.Develop, monitor and drive performance indicators as it relates to OEE from a maintenance perspective.Develop documented procedures for routine or major mechanical repair, replacement, or service to equipment or facilities.Provide project management services for more extensive capital projects as assigned.Up to 20% travel could be required with this position.Skills/RequirementsCollege graduate with a B.S. degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree with previous hands on maintenance experience is required.Three to seven years of industrial experience in either line or staff capacity, preferably in Maintenance or related areas. Background in the use of diagnostic equipment, such as Vibration Analysis, Laser alignment, and Infrared thermography and IOT related to smart factory and continuous monitoring is highly desirable.Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional or Technician through SMRP is a plus.
