The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County (HCSCC) runs the museum at the Hjemkomst Center, home of the Viking ship replica Hjemkomst that sailed to Norway in 1982 and of the Hopperstaf Stave Church, both owned by the City of Moorhead. HCSCC also collects, preserves, interprets, and shares the history and culture of Clay County, MN. We host over 30,000 visitors a year from around the world to see changing local history, humanities, and fine art exhibitions.
