Telecommuting/Hybrid Opportunity

SUMMARY:The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate a strong work ethic, natural curiosity about business, and an entrepreneurial drive to assist local and regional businesses with their advertising needs. In addition, this position will allow the successful candidate to coach and mentor fellow company multi-media sales representatives. This would include comprehensive advertising strategy development and direct in-the-field sales activity in Central/Metro/Southern MN Forum Comm. Company markets and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Present and sell comprehensive advertising solutions (with an emphasis on digital) to local and regional businesses.
  • Prospect and develop new advertising accounts.
  • Suggest copy layout and scheduling of ads.
  • Ability to make recommendations regarding copy, text, images, and best-practices to clients based on data and market research.
  • Maintain a positive relationship between accounts and the company by providing all services necessary to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Make presentations to sell new or upgrade existing accounts.
  • Assist fellow multi-media sales representatives within the company on sales strategy and presentations.
  • Handle credit and adjustment questions for accounts in an effective, courteous manner.
  • Respond sensitively to needs of accounts and maintain good working relationships with our customers by providing outstanding customer service.
  • Be knowledgeable in, and capable of developing market data in response to customer requests.
  • Maintain professional demeanor in dealings with the business community, fellow workers and other departments within the company.
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance of campaigns for assigned set of clients and multi-media sales representatives within the company with a keen attention to detail
  • Collaborates across functional teams to refine the approach based on an understanding of client objectives, goals and known barriers
  • Analyzes, reviews, and reports on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years of digital advertising sales experience, preferable in the media industry.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university, preferred.
  • Preferred candidates will have IAB Certification and be aware of IAB guidelines.
  • Preferred candidates will have Google Analytics certification.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that will include multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Strong computer skills.


CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
  • Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, use hands to fingers, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop.
  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
  • Works in both office setting and outside being exposed to the elements.
