Parks & Trails Maintenance Worker

Normal work hours are Monday- Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional hours outside the normal work hours as necessary.

This position performs manual labor in the care and maintenance of the City's parks, trails, cemetery, recreation areas, open space and other city properties so the public can enjoy clean, safe and well-maintained areas for business, recreation and leisure activities. Required qualifications for the position are a high school diploma or GED equivalent; MN Class D driver's license and must obtain a Class A driver's license within six months of hire; and one year of professional work experience in park maintenance, landscaping, construction, or related experience. The AFSCME position is classified as Grade 3 with an expected starting rate of pay of $20.09-21.96 per hour, based on experience.
